Meta was asked to participate in the Children Radio Ministry again this week.  Once a month they include some teaching about raising Children.  On those occasions the team is mostly Sunday School teachers and youth ministry leaders.  Meta’s contribution was from Proverbs, train your children in the way they should go, and when they are old they will not depart from it.

The station manager has told our Children’s Ministry leader that it is their most popular program.  He (the leader of Children’s Ministry) tells me that he frequently gets calls, both during the radio program and afterwards from youth and from parents with prayer requests.

I am part of an organization called Truth is Light1.  Truth is Light has several programs.  I am part of the prison ministry.  One of the other programs is a children’s ministry.  When the lock down went into effect last March, they were not able to gather the children to continue the program.  In April they went on the radio.

On the radio they could not continue the exercises and games that had been part of the program; however, the songs and Bible stories are possible.  Their program is broadcast live every Saturday beginning at 2:30 p.m. (local time).  It was half an hour and now has grown to 45 minutes.  Today it became evident that they are ministering to more than children.  The children who are part of the team took turns telling the story of Cain and Able.  Then they answered the first few questions of an adult member of the team themselves, on the radio.  Next the moderator opened the phone lines for the audience to answer questions.  The directions were for parents to call and give the phone to their child, but some of the parents tried to answer.  The moderator insisted on a youth voice before he would allow the caller to answer a question.
